Preserved moss is real moss that has been collected from nature, is dried, and has undergone a treatment process.  This treatment process is done with non-toxic ingredients, mainly consisting of vegetable glycerin and food colorings, to maintain its fresh, plushy texture and color for many years.

I create preserved moss art using different types of moss, lichens, and dried flowers.

Because the moss is preserved, it requires little to no maintenance - no watering or light. Occasional dusting may be required which can be done by using a can of compressed air or a blow dryer on the lowest setting on cool. The moss should be placed in low light to avoid fading of the dyes and kept away from  radiators and heaters.

Preserved moss should not be placed outdoors as it is sensitive to bright light and humidity.  Bright or direct light may cause the moss to fade or discolor.  Preserved moss does not require any moisture or watering.

You may return an item within seven days of purchase for a full refund.  You are responsible for returning the item in new condition.  If the item is returned damaged, a refund may not be issued. Custom orders are not eligible for return.

Living walls require a lot of maintenance in order to keep them alive including sunlight, water, and soil. Preserved moss is virtually maintenance free.  

Preserved moss will not grow.  It is virtually maintenance free and does not require water, light, or pruning.
